THE COLONEL is a complex, dry white wine blend with vibrant fruit and floral aromas, balanced minerality and acidity with notes of apricot and a clean finish.

Winemaker's Notes

THE COLONEL is a white wine blend of our lacrosse and la crescent grapes. The lacrosse is from a well-drained, stony shale block planted in 2019. It adds some nice minerality to complement the fruit and floral aromas of our la crescent. The lacrosse, aged in hybrid oak barrels with American oak staves and French oak heads, and the la crescent, aged in stainless steel, combine to form a lightly oaked, complex dry white wine.

A Touch of History

We named this wine after the "big hill" at Willard Mountain, our local ski area. Our entire family learned to ski the steeps on the colonel trail. Challenging at first, it becomes exhilarating when you learn to ski it well.
