2022 RANGER

Tasting Notes
RANGER, a dry red blend, offers deep, red hues in the glass and aromas of cherry fruitiness on the nose. Our red blend is bold and complex, showing bright cherry notes on the palate and a pleasing, slightly spicy dry finish.
Winemaker's Notes
RANGER is our newest red blend made with our frontenac, marquette and maréchal foch grapes. Aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels, this dry wine pairs well with any red meat roast or stew and brings out the best in beef stroganoff. As always, Ranger is estate bottled - crafted exclusively with our own vineyard-grown hybrid grapes.
A Touch of History
We named this wine to honor the hardy citizen soldiers who ranged our area during the French and Indian War and during the battles of Saratoga of the American Revolution. Major Robert Rogers and his followers during the former and Colonel Daniel Morgan and his Virginia riflemen during the latter were an inspiration for the modern day United States Army Rangers, the best light infantry in the world.
A toast to the bold and the brave.
