This event has ended.

The 2017 Northeastern NY and Vermont Grape School is Thursday, March 9th, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Holiday Inn Lake George, 2223 Canada Street, Lake George NY.

Cornell Cooperative Extension Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program and the University of Vermont Grape Program, Dept. of Plant and Soil Science are sponsoring the 2017 Northeastern NY and VT Grape School!

The one-day educational program is for anyone interested in learning more about our region's wine industry, cold climate grape growing and wine making. Current and prospective grape growers and wine makers will be attending. The program offers two tracks – the morning will focus on Viticulture and the afternoon on Enology. If you are interested in growing grapes and making wine in our region, or like to meet local leaders in the industry, this is the workshop for you!

In addition to the morning viticulture topics, Sam Filler, the new President of the New York Wine & Grape Foundation will speak about this growing NYS industry and the foundation.

On the agenda are Dr. Anna Katharine Mansfield, Cornell University, and Chris Gerling, Cornell Cooperative Extension Geneva, leading the afternoon winemaking workshop.

Spaces are still available. Preregister or contact Anna Wallis, Cornell Cooperative Extension agent, at 518-410-6823 or email aew232@cornell.edu if you have questions.
